French Defense (from niche house Mind Games) leads with a rich, juicy black cherry — sweet and liqueur-soaked, like maraschino rather than tart fruit — woven through with soft rose, violet, and mimosa, then grounded on a warm, velvety base of amber, cedarwood, and blonde woods. Fruity and luxe up top, smooth and ambery-woody underneath.
As an extrait it performs well — around 6 hours on skin and a full day on clothes, with a gorgeous trail.
